A Wedding Adventure: from Zürich to Morcote
Some weddings simply defy tradition. They are not bound by elaborate schedules or big guest lists; instead, they celebrate raw authenticity, intimate joy, and unforgettable experiences. This was precisely the spirit of this micro wedding in Switzerland— a love story unfolding against the most scenic and stunning backdrops.
The day began with a cozy ceremony at Zürich Stadthaus. We were just five people (oh well, six - including me, the photographer), but it didn’t feel small at all. The love and happiness in that room were bigger than any guest list.
After saying "I do," the couple and their closest ones hopped on a train heading to Lugano. As they shared laughs and stories, the windows framed jaw-dropping views of the Alps. The scene was pure magic — a moving postcard of Switzerland’s natural beauty.
After checking into a gorgeous lakeside luxury hotel near Lake Lugano, everything felt peaceful and perfect — the lake sparkling under the afternoon sun, setting the stage for more unforgettable moments.
By evening, we found ourselves climbing a substantial set of stairs in Vico Morcote. The effort was worth it. At the top, we were rewarded with the most stunning sunset, as warm golden light wrapped around the couple.
The bride, styled to perfection by Tanja Marthy, looked effortlessly beautiful throughout the day. There was plenty of champagne, laughter, and a laid-back vibe that made everything feel just right.
